Wow, I feel like it's been forever since I put up a personal post. I apologize. Life has been a whirl-wind of travel and excitement this last month. I can't even describe how happy my heart is. I keep waiting for the next day knowing it maybe just a normal day yet once again I'm beyond happy. So let's start with my first trip of the year, NYC.
NYC
It was a last minute trip and I was so excited to see an old client and photograph their newborn daughter. I booked the trip only one week prior and made a last minute hotel reservation. The session when absolutely wonderful, baby E was awake for part of the session and then gave us some precious sleeping photos as well. I could just see the love all over mom & dad's faces. It still puts a smile on my face. I can only hope that when my day comes to have a family I will radiate just as much love and happiness as I saw in their home. After this amazing session I was pumped to go see another past client at the Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. Her husband plays for the team so of course I was rooting super hard for them ... and they won! I heard all about their move to NYC and how different is was than other states where he has played. The atmosphere of NYC is like no other. I also learned that you drink beer out of straws, interesting ... I'm kinda a fan now :) And to top off the end of the game I was driven home, slight detour though time square so I could see it all lit up at night. C & B you two are absolutely wonderful, thank you, I had a blast!
After a wonderful day I celebrated with a few cocktails at the hotel bar and as luck would have it I met a new friend. More on that later. Let's just say January in NYC was a start to a VERY good 2014!
AUSTIN
So here's the "more" .... My new friend lives in Austin and invited me down for a warm get away. ( This is after he spent 9 days in MPLS and even shoved my un-kept drive way, what can I say ... I don't like to shovel). I happily agreed, the thought of warm weather and more time with him sounded perfect. I can not express how much I enjoyed my time there. From the wonderful walking trails, kayaking, poolside drinks to downtown night life I think I'm in love with AUSTIN. I even hiked up to the top of Enchanted Rock, wow what a view! So if any of you have been watching my instagram feed, you know what's been going on. :)
Next Up
Next up is a fantastic trip to Mexico with my BFF Poly! We plan to soak up some delicious sun rays and get in a fun photoshoot on the beach. Wait til you see these "trash the dress" photos! I may even spend a few hours of business planning but we will see. The pina colada's and poolside might be more inciting than my laptop.
In Conclusion
I want to thank everyone for being a part of my life, you truly make it fun and put a smile on my face. I am a very luck girl and I appreciate all of you so much.
