Vinayak and Emily met in the Spring of 2010 when they both worked for Wells Fargo in uptown Minneapolis. On the first day they met, Vinayak jumped in the same stall of a revolving door with Emily just to keep talking to her! He seemed nice enough to Emily but they both worked in different departments so they didn’t cross paths all that often. Then, in the fall of that year Vinayak was transferred into Emily’s department and his manager let him choose from one of the open offices. As fate would have it, the office across the hall from Emily happened to be empty and Vinayak moved in. Now Vinayak and Emily saw each other every day and, little by little, they got to know each other. Vinayak started taking his breaks outside so he could walk through the park with Emily. He’d tell her stories and jokes to make her laugh. Emily couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but working in finance just seemed more interesting these days!By Christmas Eve of 2012, they realized that they never wanted the fun to end. Vinayak proposed (ask to see his tattoo!) and Emily said yes.
